The video presents the voluntary protection measures taken by local fishermen in Eckernförde bay, Germany, with the support of the OstSeeinfo Center. The project promotes the use of porpoise friendly fishing gear and avoidance of feeding areas for diving ducks, in the objective of reducing accidental captures. The project is supported by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
The EMFF is the fund for the EU's maritime and fisheries policies for 2014-2020. It is one of the five European Structural and Investment (ESI) Funds which complement each other and seek to promote a growth and job based recovery in Europe.
