To celebrate this year's Europe Day, Domenico Lenarduzzi discusses the story of Europe, a story of peace and democracy, prosperity and opportunity, with his grandson, Raffaele Vaccaro. Domenico had the idea of the Erasmus study programme 30 years ago, in 1987. Since then, Erasmus has given 9 million people the chance to study, train, volunteer or gain professional experience abroad. At this critical moment in history, it is worthwhile remembering the principles that unite us, as Europeans, and our vision for our common future.
